To expand its Echo device lineup, Amazon has launched the new Echo Spot with a 2.83-inch touchscreen display, a 1.73-inch, and a front-firing speaker. It offers several features, including custom alarms, smart home integration, and access to Alexa’s capabilities.
The Echo Spot has eight custom-designed clock faces and six colour themes: orange, violet, magenta, lime, teal, and blue. Users can use the touchscreen display to check the time, weather, and song titles. This smart clock lets users set custom music as an alarm tune or select from preloaded sounds like Aurora, Daybreak, Endeavour, and Flutter. The Echo Spot supports the snooze function, which users can activate by tapping on the screen or asking Alexa.
Equipped with a 1.73-inch front-firing speaker, the Echo Spot produces clear audio with balanced bass and can be connected with Alexa-enabled devices. The smart clock can stream music, audiobooks, and podcasts from Amazon Music, JioSaavn, and Spotify. Users can adjust the volume on Echo Spot using buttons or Alexa commands.
The Echo Spot can be used with Alexa-enabled smart home devices and has Ultrasound Motion Detection. So, it can turn on lights and play music when someone enters the room. It supports audio calls on Alexa-enabled devices, household announcements, and a drop-in function.
Amazon’s Echo Spot is available in two colours: Black and Blue. It’s available in India at Rs 8,999, but as part of an introductory offer, the device will be available at a discounted price of Rs 6,449 for a limited time. Users can order this Echo Spot from Amazon.in, Blinkit, and Croma stores.
