The third-biggest telecom operator in India, VI, has officially launched its 5G service in selected circles. Airtel and cloud gaming offerer Jio launched their 5G services in 2022, and VI is joining the race almost one and a half years later. The company shared this news on X and said a full-scale launch will take place later.
According to the Times of India, a TelecomTalk report indicates VI has started offering 5G services in 17 Licensed Service Areas (LSAs).

This network is rumoured to use 3.3 GHz and 26 GHz (N258) spectrum bands for prepaid and postpaid users. The TelecomTalk report shares that a VI 5G service is available with a Rs. 475 monthly recharge plan for prepaid users and a REDX1101 plan for postpaid users.
