OnePlus is making a big move with a new battery technology called “Glacier Battery.” The technology was developed with Contemporary Amperex Technology Limited (CATL) and will be launched on Thursday, 30 June 2024. The leading smartphone brand, OnePlus, is expected to launch this battery technology on its latest OnePlus Ace 3 Pro handset.
The Chinese tech brand OnePlus confirmed the launch on 20 June 2024 at 2:00 PM with a series of posts on Weibo (One of China’s largest social media platforms). OnePlus claims this technology will enhance battery life and smartphone performance, eliminating the need for power banks.
The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro, as revealed by tipster Digital Chat Station, is set to impress with its power capabilities. Boasting a much larger battery (6100 mAh) and 100W charging support, this device can go from 0 to 100 per cent in a mere 30 minutes. Despite its power, the phone will maintain a slim profile, measuring just 8 mm in thickness.
According to the leaked information, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will come in the third quarter of 2024. It is said to have a curved edge screen with a punch cutout for the selfie shooter at the centre. The phone is also said to have a 6.78-inch 1.5k resolution LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) screen. A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC (System on a Chip), metal middle frame and glass body could be other features of the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro.
For clicking images, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to have a triple rear camera setup of a 50 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide sensor, and a 2 MP macro sensor. The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro handset will have a 16 MP selfie camera.
