Samsung is likely to launch a slim model, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim which will go official at the start of 2025, according to recent reports. Meanwhile, Apple is also launching its thin series, which is also expected to debut in the second half of 2025 as the iPhone 17 Slim — or iPhone 17 Air, according to recent reports. This might be the reason for the launch of Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim as it would give Samsung’s potential new device a direct competitor by launching the model slightly earlier than Apple’s equivalent model.
Further, if the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim receives a positive response, then it might change the Galaxy S26 series launch lineup until 2026. If these claims prove to be accurate, then the shift to a slimmer form factor would be the most notable design change Samsung has made to its Galaxy S family in the past four years.
Samsung has further confirmed that it will launch its Galaxy S25 series in the first half of next year, presumably in January. The series will run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and is likely to enrol with Galaxy AI features. The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra will come in four colourways while the Plus variant will be sold in five shades.Â
