Jio is ready to hit the Indian market again with its new product ─ JioPhone Next. It has been allegedly spotted earlier on the Google Play Console listing. This would be another big hit from Reliance, India’s Multinational Conglomerate Company, which will further shape its growth in the smartphone market.
Some of the key specifications have been revealed of the upcoming Reliance Jio Smartphone. The listing was first spotted by Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd), and it suggests that the JioPhone Next has an HD + (720 x 1440 pixels) display with 320dpi screen density. Only a few JioPhone Next specifications have been revealed, as mentioned below.
Major JioPhone Next Specifications
According to the Google Play Console listing, the new smartphones will feature the following specifications:
- Android 11 (Go Edition)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 (QM215)
- Adreno 306 GPU
- 2GB RAM
Additionally, the Google Play Console listing features an image of the JioPhone Next revealing the handset’s front.
The images suggest that the JioPhone Next will have thick bezels on the sides and a huge bottom and top. Similar to other smartphones, the volume and power buttons are placed on the right side of the device.
Reliance announced this product back in June 2021 at Jio’s Annual General Meeting to fulfill Reliance’s founder Dhirubhai Ambani’s dream. But the company delayed the launch due to specific reasons.
The delay was associated with global semiconductor chip storage, which impacted the automobile, PC, and smartphone industries. The company says – “ This additional time will also help mitigate the current industry-wide, global semiconductor shortages.”
A few days back, the company announced that the device may launch before Diwali. The testing has already begun with limited sets and is actively working to make it available nationwide at the Diwali festival.
