India is all set for the upcoming festive season! Online shopping platforms, including Amazon to Flipkart, are ready with their upcoming festive sales like the Great Indian Festival & Big Billion Days etc.
Market trackers – Counterpoint Research estimates smartphone sales of $7.7 Billion solely during the festive season. Along with this, the experts estimated that there is a 9% year-over-year decline in shipments, but this decline would not affect sales during the Diwali shopping sales. Senior Analyst Prachir Singh said, “The festive season has been the highlight of India’s smartphone market where almost 20% of the annual sales happen over four to five weeks. Hence, this festive period is important for all the value chain players“.
With the launch of new mobile phones every month, the smartphone market has already noticed the highest growth ever. Consumers are pre-booking the models of their choice to purchase them during the festive season. Smartphones that fall under the range of 15k to 20k are in high demand. In terms of specifications and technology, customers prefer 5G smartphones with considerable camera quality.
