National Broadband Misson, which operates under the Ministry of Communication, tweeted, “Taking India’s digital transformation & connectivity to new heights, Hon’ble PM will roll out 5G services in India, at the Mobile Congress, Asia’s Largest Technology Exhibition.”
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Bharti Airtel’s Sunil Mittal and Vodafone Idea head Ravindra Thakur will share the stage with PM Modi, according to the reports. Along with these business tycoons, Union Ministers, including Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, will also be present at the event.
It is anticipated that Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea will begin 5G services in seven cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, by this Diwali.
India Mobile Congress (IMC) will focus on “the evolution path of existing technology and what it holds for businesses and individuals for the future through meaningful dialogues.”
Ashwini Vaishnaw, earlier stated that 5G services in India will scale up after the launch and will reach every part of the country in the next two to three years.
In his Independence Day speech, PM Modi spoke on 5G services. The services will reach the remotest part of the country soon and would be ten times faster and would be launched soon in India, he further added.
Apart from the 5G data, the 5G networks have the potential to enable several enterprise-level solutions such as machine-to-machine communications, connected vehicles and more.
Smartphone makers have already launched budget-friendly 5G phones, and a few are in line this year. Customers can leverage 5G services as soon as they launch in India.
